Looking for my biological father: “Ron Guererro” last know in Dallas TX. 1974?

Looking for my biological father last seen in Dallas texas in 1974. He was on the tv commercials for Action TV store in Dallas in 1974 also. He would be about 60 yrs old or so now. I think he may have been 28 in 1974. He is spanish or italian. was told he favored sonny bono somewhat. he dated my mom in dallas tx in 1973 and i was born in feb 1974. His friends called him ronnie G. His brother may have owned or managed that action tv in 1973-74. His parents may live in northern california. please let me know if any of this rings a bell.

I’m afraid I can’t help you the way you want right here and now, but if he is on your birth certificate, you may be able to access his Social Security records, which would give you his work history and last known address. It’s worth a try.

What is there to do in Des Moines?

I’m a 17 year old guy and i cant stand living with my mom anymore in Dallas, Texas and my brother is moving to Des Moines to go to medical school and he asked if i wanted to move in with him. I’ve never been there or to Iowa and i was just wondering is it all corn fields and farms there or is there stuff that could actually entertain me? Hows the weed up there? is there alot of teens there or mostly old people? and is there any mma (mixed martial arts) gyms because thats what ive been doing for the past couple of years here in dallas.

What theaters in Dallas are still showing Rocky Horror Picture Show?

I heard the Movie Grill in Arlington used to show it every week but that the group that performed it got kicked out and isn’t there anymore. Is there any place else in the area that still shows Rocky Horror on a regular basis? Preferably one where you can throw toast and toilet paper?

How are the Lakers going to win a title if they don’t play any 4th quarter defense?

Its the same bull all the time. You get a sizable lead, you let up on defense, then all of a sudden your lead is down to 2, then you can’t knock down your shots, then you find yourself asking Kobe to chunk up a bunch of shots to bring you back. Same thing Sunday. We had a 12 pt. lead against Dallas only to let up on defense for a stretch, then you need a comeback.

This is the worst defense Phil Jackson has ever had. Why did Chicago win 6 NBA titles in the 90′s? Defense. It wasn’t all Jordan and Pippen, they didn’t even score over 100 pts. every night, but they knew how to close the game out on defense. You can see this coming a mile away: we’re going to run up against a team in the playoffs we’re supposed to beat on paper, we’re going to have the lead in the 4th, stop playing defense, and all of a sudden we’re going to find ourselves down two games in the series. Then everyone is going to ask what’s going on.

BQ: When Andrew comes back, should Ariza or Lamar start at the 3 spot?

I agree the Lakers best quarter this season have been the 2nd and 3rd and for some reasons the Lakers always gives up huge leads in the 4th. It’s not just defence it’s also the offence. the Lakers play sloppy 4th quarter. I still think the Lakers will win it all this year, they just need to focus and play all teams like the game have meaning.

2003 2.5s 4 Cyl. Nissan Altima Blown Head Gasket?

Ive had this nissan altima since the day I drove it off the car lot and about 3 months ago the head gasket was blown, ever since that Ive been looking for a good mechanic that I can trust to work on the vehicle I live in Dallas,TX and have been doing some research on price quotes and the majorityt of them all was of course TrophyNissan.com they were asking for about $3,200.00 dollars, and the mest up thing is that my vehicle had a recall last year over the catback and also the head gasket which were blown out last year also, but I had a 1 year warranty on the both of them and now since that warranty barely passed me over a month im forced and screwed to pay off the vehicle and also the maintenance, anyways I realized why does it cost so much many places the labor cost more than the parts lol, if anyone from the DallasFortWorth,TX area knows a good shop that can stick within the budget for me about $1500.00 or cheaper than that please let me know this is affecting my life alot GODBLESS

Don’t give up on the dealer.I would call the service manager and ask for help in this problem.Ask him to contact the Factory Rep.for that dealership.Tell them you love your Nissan,but this has put a bad taste in your mouth.You are looking to up grade soon and now that this has happen you may look at the Toyota’s or the Honda’s.You want to stay with Nissan and if they help with the cost of this repair you will for sure buy another Nissan.

I’m a former Nissan Service Manager and I’ve helped many with this kind of repair.the Factory pays the Labor you may have to pay for the parts.That would keep you under the figure you state.

Dallas Weddings On A Budget

My friend is getting married 4 hours from here this saturday. Is it stupid to expect accomodation?

My friend is getting married this saturday to the man of her dreams. She asked if I could come by and I said sure. But here’s the problem.
It’s 4hrs and 30 minutes from here PLUS it’s on a saturday .

So my qn. is What time does marriages usually happen and also Should I go the day before and stay there( i am very tight on budget ) Or Drive Saturday morning itself from here( houston ) to there( dallas)?

It’s a 4 hour drive. So if the wedding is at 11:00 . I have to get up at 5:00 . Leave at 6:00a.m!!!
Is this really possible? Should I call her and ask politely about accomodation because I live on unemployment checks right now. .. How should I ask about accomodation . I haven’t been to a lot of weddings but she’s special which is why I am going.

How long have you known about this wedding? You need to ask the bride to be where the wedding will take place, what time it will take place, and if there are any special dress requirements. During that conversation you can ask if there’s any place to stay so that you can come in the day before and perhaps stay until the day after. If there’s no way to accommodate you, that is the time to explain your financial situation and decline the invitation if that is necessary. You can salvage your friendship with the bride by sending a wedding gift later, when you can afford it. BTW, I live in Dallas and my kids live in the Houston area. I’ve driven that route more often than I can remember. It gets pretty boring but, if you leave early on a Saturday and get through Conroe before the traffic builds, you can breeze right up the road to Dallas in pretty good time.
